Hi, I’m Justin Weiss, a Bay Area–based designer focused on creating things that are considered, useful, and honest. I value simplicity, good judgment, and working on things that matter with people who care. My dog Apollo supervises.
About me
The basics:
- I've been designing for over a decade, started by making stuff for bands I played in
- Based in the Bay Area, been playing guitar since I was 9
- Played in/toured with bands for years before shifting focus to design full-time
- I know all the words to Billy Joel's 1989 smash hit "We Didn't Start the Fire"
Some things I believe:
- Less is almost always more
- Consistency compounds over time
- Clarity is a feature
- If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough
- If you decide to do something, try as hard as you can
